Fold Join Forces with Clue Records for Singles Club Release

  • by

Clue Records

Based in Leeds Clue Records are an independent DIY record label, podcaster and promoter. Run by Scott Lewis with help from Steven Langton and Tom Roche they promote and support bands they love. This has so far included acts like Allusondrugs, NARCS (with whom we’ve shared a stage many times), Forever Cult and Trash. Over the past few years Clue have become a well loved fixture in the Leeds music scene not only for the quality of the music but also for their socially conscious ethos. We are all part of the same community. Scott was behind our very first gig in Leeds while working for Oxjam and we’re happy to finally be joining the Clue family properly.

Clue Club

“Clue Club is a 12 month music club where we release music with a new band every month. Members will receive a zine every month in 2017, a tote bag, a t-shirt and all sort of other treats. We’ve already got ace acts like Fighting Caravans, Fold, COLOUR OF SPRING, Team Picture and more signed up.

We want to use our new singles club to promote new music and charities we feel deserve to be supported. So for every person that joins Clue Club in January or February we’ll donate £5 to charity.

We’ve chosen to support the charities Mind (a mental health charity) and Simon on the Streets (a Leeds based charity helping rough sleepers).”

We’ve yet to determine the exact month of our Clue Club contribution but it will be later in the year. These releases are exclusive and unique, therefore all music we release with them along with the zine content will not be available anywhere else. There are only 100 spaces available so be quick!

Artwork will be provided by the amazing Tommings and consequently we cannot wait to see it. Be sure to check out his work.
