Puzzle Hall Inn
“The Puzzle Hall Inn in Sowerby Bridge, near Halifax, in Calderdale is an award winning pub serving up real ales and excellent music, and is well known in this part of Yorkshire. The 17th Century building once included a brewery, the bottom floor of which now hosts live bands. Alternative, Jazz, Blues and Folk bands usually play Thursdays and Saturdays, and on other nights from time to time. We also run ‘Beatitudes’ on the last Sunday of the month, showcasing the best acoustic talent in the region and poetry is the first Monday of the month. In the summer we hold outdoor festivals – these have a massive following and we expand our range of real ales from 6 to 12. We also serve up several ciders, perries and bottled beers all year round. We have an outdoor area, perfect for sitting in the sun and well behaved dogs are welcome both inside and out. Despite being called an inn, we do not have accommodation.”
