Strangling Vinyl Promotions presents the return of the brilliant sound of Fold on Saturday 19th March.
Fold are a funk & hip-hop influenced experimental four-piece based in Leeds. Inspired by Public Enemy among others they explore the natural rhythms of speech by building their tracks around samples with a strong social conscience.
Unlike most forms of live music that incorporate samples Fold perform everything on stage live in order to preserve a sense of natural groove, unity & spontaneity in line with their funk forebears.
The band have received considerable support from the likes of Huey Morgan, Don Letts and Lauren Laverne and they were named one of the top records of 2014 bestowed by Blur’s own Dave Rowntree.
After releasing their debut album last year, the band’s sound and performance unanimously stands out from anything else happening at the moment.
Don’t miss the experience of FOLD live!
