Our first double A side Oil-Powered Machine / Detroit Red pulls no punches with words from Malcolm X & Mike Ruppert
Following in Public Enemy’s footsteps we incorporated resounding speeches by the late Malcolm X & Michael Ruppert with as much force, funk & urgency as we could muster on our first double A-side single. In tribute to both speakers, the release follows our homage to Bruce Lee Be Water My Friend.
Written, arranged, performed, co-produced & mixed by Fold.
Recorded and engineered at Luck Lane Studios, Huddersfield.

“Inspired by Public Enemy, the group have sampled resounding speeches by Malcolm X and Michael Ruppert which the group believe perfectly encapsulate their personal and political beliefs.
“That was kinda bad right there.”
