New Fold EP planned for late summer release

  • by

2016 was a slow and admittedly difficult year for us. Fortunately 2017 already promises to yield many fruits of labours past and present culminating in, among other things, a new Fold EP. We’re working on our most ambitious collection of new tracks to date featuring two of Leeds’ finest with Emma Johnson’s sterling horn arrangements and Kieran O’Malley taking care of strings. Exciting new vocal collaborators are also on board including, for the very first time, some real live singing. We’re withholding identities for now in order to keep it a surprise.

Some voices of history will make appearances as per usual including Lorraine Hansberry and Fred Hampton (pictured above). Artwork will be supplied by the immensely talented JayPee. Details of the release will be announced in the coming months and we are incredibly excited about this material.

As with our previous work this EP centres around our commitment to advancing equality and unity. We focus on those who have suffered the most at the hands of others. We do not pretend to speak for any movement but as artists we recognise and act upon the importance of prioritising narratives such as #blacklivesmatter in media output in order to effect change. In light of recent events the urgency of these narratives has never been greater.

Stay tuned for further announcements.
